Our History

In 1997, two established accounting and consulting firms — S.R.Busby, CPA and William C. Smith, CPA, along with S.R.Busby employee Randall Ford — merged to create Busby Smith & Ford, LLC. In September 2004, William C. Smith retired from the firm. Greg A. Reimer was admitted as a partner on January 1, 2010, at which time the firm changed its name to Busby Ford & Reimer, LLC (BFR).

The firm undergoes a quality review as required by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants every three years. During the most recent quality review conducted in 2009, the firm received a "pass" rating, the highest reporting level allowed.

BFR is a member of the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Governmental Audit Quality Center of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

In addition to the three BFR partners, the firm currently employs three additional CPA's, two accountants and various clerical staff.
